Abib (Ay┬┤bib)

Later called Nisan, the original Canaanite name of the first month (March/April) in the Hebrew religious calendar. It is the month during which the exodus occurred and the Passover was celebrated (Exod 13:4; Exod 23:15; Deut 16:1).
