Basilica of the Annunciation

The Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth was completed in 1969 on the site identified in the Roman Catholic tradition as Mary’s childhood home where the angel Gabriel visited her. The Church is decorated with mosaics from all over the world depicting the assumption.

The angel Gabriel's announcement to Mary that she would become Jesus' mother. Celebrated as a Christian holiday, often around March 25.
