Michael L. Satlow is a professor of religious studies and Judaic studies at Brown University, where he specializes in early Judaism. He is the author most recently of How the Bible Became Holy (Yale University Press, 2014), has created a free podcast series called “From Israelite to Jew” (available at iTunes U), and directs the “Inscriptions of Israel/Palestine” project at Brown.
