Gay´uhl; Heb., possibly “beetle”

The son of Ebed who lived in Shechem and usurped leadership from Abimelech (Judg 9:26-33). This usurpation caused Abimelech to retaliate in force, destroying the city (Judg 9:34-40) before further expanding his conquests (Judg 9:50-57).
