Ataroth (At´uh-roth)

1 Khirbet Attarus, eight miles northwest of Dibon (Num 32:3; Num 32:34), associated with the tribe of Gad. 2 Tell el-Mazar, an east border town of Ephraim (Josh 16:7). 3 Part of the compound name Ataroth-addar (Josh 16:5; Josh 18:13), a border town between Ephraim and Benjamin, modern day Kefer ‘Aqab.
