Jerusalem Freed From Babylon

Chagall, Jerusalem has been freed from Babylon, according to the prophecy of Isaiah (Isaiah, 14:1-7), 1956, etching, Musée national Marc Chagall, Nice. 

Jerusalem Freed from Babylon is part of Chagall’s later series of etchings commissioned the publisher Ambroise Vollard before the war for his etchings for the Bible series. The angel of the Lord is returning Jacob to Jerusalem according to Isaiah prophecy.
