1 The eldest son of David and Ahinoam and the half brother of Absalom. He raped his half sister Tamar, an action that infuriated Absalom, whose vengeance against Amnon precipitated a rift with David (2Sam 13). 2 A Judahite, son of Shimon (1Chr 4:20).
