Ay´muhs

The book of, one of the twelve Minor Prophets of the OT. The prophet Amos was a native of Tekoa in Judah and was active in the Northern Kingdom (Israel) during the eighth century BCE. His oracles of doom are noted for their particular concern with social justice.
