Seth

The third son of Adam according to the genealogy in (Gen 4:25; Gen 5:3). Seth’s birth seems intended to contrast with the debauched and violent line of Cain. The birth of Seth is said to coincide with the beginning of the practice of calling on Yahweh’s name (Gen 4:26).
