Toh´bit

A book that relates a tale of tribulations of life in the Dispersion (i.e., Jews living outside Palestine) with the message that God will protect and heal those who are pious and compassionate. Protestants include it among the Apocrypha, while for Roman Catholics it is one of the deuterocanonical books.
